Sit in the Stillness of What Is Most True Love’s Quiet Spirit to rest upon you Here you are healed and all is made new To sit in the Stillness is what you must do Sit in the Stillness your silence is prayer Love’s Quiet Spirit to meet with you there Gentle relief from each earthly care To sit in the Stillness surrendered, aware.
Posting a bit later than usual this Saturday, as I have been traveling with my children to my home state of Maryland and visiting with family. Tomorrow I will be officiating my eldest niece’s wedding in a beautiful snowy mountain pine forest sanctuary. The rehearsal today was joyful, and very cold! In the midst of writing the ceremony and all the preparations and travel, I have not been able to write a new piece for today, so I thought this reminder to stop and rest might be good to revisit tonight. No matter how busy or tired, or how far we may roam, in quiet and stillness we can always find home.
Deep Peace and Gentlest Blessings to All,
~Cheryl Anne
Dear Cheryl Anne, I discovered your poems on the Druid Hearth, and something spoke to me through your wards. No lightning flash mind you but, still, it was like a whisper from the past.
I'm a 74 year old male who is also facing mortality in the form of a cardiac situation. I was raised in a positive based Christian domination called Unity, based in Lees Summit Mo. the basic mantra is "God the good is all there is". So when illness appeared, I thought that it was not a true thing. As I garnered wisdom from life, I find there are indeed unpleasant things that are presented to be delt with. So here I am pre-treatment, thoughts of fear and what ifs, not sleeping. Then this very night just passed, I experience a tremendous sense of the love you were talking about in your bio. Odd as it sounds, I was filled with gratitude and a quiet joy. When I read your poem "Love's Quiet Spirit" my sails were filled with the power of the Divine because all power comes from the Stillness. Thank you. Michael (Dark Alef on the Druid Hearth).
Thank you, my dear Sister! Your wisdom and heart speak soothing words and offer a healing balm to this weary traveler. Thank you 💖🙏✨🌹
