In the movement of the circle of seasons; this reliable cycle of change, I see you standing, seemingly alone. A warm invitation is sent on the birdsong. My heart calls you into the hospitable den of gradual darkening days; a gold and crimson dream of gently drying leaves, colored with gratitude; recalling their former supple spring. Ah, but how they now dance in their new-found lightness! So too, for you I pray, that all heaviness be lifted and graciously give way. That your heart and feet be light with dancing! That the loveliness of a cool, coy, considerate breeze would come round and partner you; as in faith you surrender to a kind and tender falling. Oh, my Love! Can you hear Her calling? The softening and slowing, the deepening and growing of Wisdom and Knowing in the Song that Autumn sings for you. ~Cheryl Anne Maris
Is there a Song that Autumn sings for you? What does it sound like?
I love this sooo much. It’s that most wonderful time of the year! 😊
In the Rocky Mountains of Colorado it was the turning of the Aspen leaves from green to brilliant autumn gold. It was also the bugling of the bull elk as they gathered their harems during rut. Here on the Gulf Coast of Alabama the temperatures are still in the 90s during the day… but at least it is the low 90s without a heat index and warning. I do miss the obvious turning of the seasons in Colorado and in Minnesota where I grew up (the brilliance of the maple trees as their colors changed).
Thank you dear Sister, for bringing this reminder to your brother Padre who misses the seasons 💖🍁🙏✨🌹
