There's a longing in me for The One Who Pours The Tea. The Wise Elder Who quietly keeps The Mystery. Both cunning and kind. Master of mind. Knowing the Heart is the Greater organ of perception. She sees through Eyes of Perfect Love and slowly fills my tiny cup.
Once upon a time, my ordaining bishop assured me that priesthood is as simple as pouring the tea with love. So simple my priesthood has been indeed. I have missed and craved the presence of a mentoring elder for many years now; realizing that although I have crossed the threshold of elderhood myself, the need for someone older and wiser to lean upon has not left me. Perhaps this means I still have a ways to go and grow before fully donning that mantle of eldership, or perhaps we never arrive in a place of absolute self-contained, stalwart strength, because we are made and meant for interdependence. Probably both/and. Anyway, I would love nothing more than to pour you a cup of tea... with love. ~Cheryl Anne

I believe it is a journey rather than a destination. Even in retirement I seek out wisdom from mentors as I mentor others. Thank you for this wonderful reflection my dear Sister 💖🙏✨🌹
