I’m glad to join you from Sacramento, CA. I’m enjoying Danny’s book. Wild similarities in our stories…. My parents remarried when I was 6. Our home was full of rage and fear and control, so I experienced their remarriage as the end of my childhood rather than the miracle it was made out to be. Years later, I ended up pastoring my father in law’s church, which was not a cult per-se but had plenty of cult-like systems of control, and a lack of care for the poor and the outcast.
Thank you, Danny, for sharing your story. I heard your podcast interview with Gravity Commons, and I think it will go down as a significant turning point in my life. At least I’m hoping so. I know I can’t keep going the way I have been… I’m deep in ask, seek, knock mode and I’m glad to be discovering some next steps.
