Living in the head The eyes are such small windows Body is a door Balance is crucial As we walk toward true freedom Following soft light “Take a leap of faith” These words mean more than we think Love’s the only net She will catch us all Falling through the universe Do not be afraid.

Ponder: Do you live “too much above the neck”? Someone once pointed this out to me concerning myself. Does your life feel and flow differently when you drop down into your heart and trust your bodily intuitions to help show you the way? For many of us, this way of being is uncharted territory due to early training and shaming regarding our physicality.
Personal Note: I’m thankful that the cancer surgery a few days ago went well. While I await further information from the pathology reports, it would be incredibly easy to spend this time away from work being all up in my head; wondering and worrying. That hasn’t worked well for me so far! This feels like a good opportunity to develop better communication with my body; to listen more closely to her wisdom and warnings. She’s been through an awful lot over the course of my lifetime, and deserves my compassion and respect. Especially now, I want to stay gently with her and not disappear into my thoughts and abandon her, as tempting as that may be.
Perhaps take some time to sit quietly and listen to your body’s story. Take a chronological journey through the history of your bodily experiences, traumas, illnesses, joys, triumphs. Honor all that you have been through, offer thanks for all of the intricate ways in which your body has worked and sacrificed in order to be a beautiful, faithful vessel for your beloved soul. Let your body know that they too are beloved. Let your body and soul walk and dance together!
Love’s the only net
