Open Gate

a song for the turning of the Gregorian calendar year

O Gentle Wave
of Love’s Pure Light,
born of Deep Midwinter Night,
to warm Our Hearts
and give Us Sight
of Glory beyond the grave. 

O Brilliant Sun,
increasing power,
rise in Us this latent hour,
as sap in tree, nectar in flower;
so flow in Us, Golden One.

O Open Gate
of this New Year,
sweep Our humble pathways clear;
Great Strength, Soft Shelter ever near,
be the way winding or straight.

Gratitude in all lessons learned.
Wisdom in deciding what's best left behind and what to carry forward.
Courage in drawing ever nearer to the Essence of Soul and living what is found There.
