One With The Friend

navigating chaos in The Calm

our not-knowing 
is held in The Knowing
our failing to love
is held in The Love
our tentative growing 
is part of The Fullness 
our fear of lack
swims in The Enough 

our wild folly
whirls in The Wisdom
our aimless wandering 
finds Home in The End
our cries for mercy
resound in The Silence 
all loneliness gathered
as One With The Friend 

A new friend. Steady as she glows!

Due to the hospitality of a dear friend, I have been walking in a different neighborhood over the last week, and so have met some new friends along the way. Usually my gaze turns to treetops, but I have found my attention drawn to the trunks of trees as I have walked this week. Drawn to steadiness where I am usually enamored with motion. Maybe because my life has recently felt so chaotic. Steadiness presently seems like a far-off dream; personally and collectively. 
As I was walking in the early morning a few days ago, I was actively seeking calm in the chaos. Then, in the warm, gentle glow of new morning sunlight I suddenly became aware of another layer of sorts~ a Greater Calm that holds this chaos from which I seek refuge and relief. It was good to be reminded that no matter the immediacy and intensity of the chaos, it is flailing and wailing within an Inescapable Tender Steadiness. It will ultimately exhaust itself in the Arms of Unfailing Love, and rest in its natural state of Belovedness. 

May the Earth and All Beings find the Comfort, Healing, and Peace of the Stillpoint Within and the Tender Steadiness All Around.
